Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington (GLOW), a charter school in Wilmington, is authorized to elect to participate in the State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees.

The school's Board of Directors must make this election within 30 days after the bill becomes law.

The participation must comply with all requirements of G.S. 135-48.54, notwithstanding any existing time limitations in that statute.

The election allows GLOW to become a participating employing unit in the state health plan in accordance with Article 3B of Chapter 135 of the General Statutes.

The act is effective upon becoming law.
