Appropriates $1,000,000 to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services for fiscal year 2017-2018 and $1,000,000 for fiscal year 2018-2019.

Funds must be used exclusively to support statewide programs designed to assist individuals with Down Syndrome and their families in developing independent adult lives.

Department may only allocate funds to programs with a proven record of providing at least one of the following services: community integration assistance, housing assistance, or job training and/or job placement.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
