Requires persons with prior reportable sex offense convictions not previously covered by registration law to register if they are already registered for another offense, incarcerated, or on probation/parole as of October 1, 2017.

Persons meeting registration triggers under subdivisions (1) or (3) must register for prior reportable convictions by October 6, 2017; those under subdivisions (2) or (4) must register according to standard procedures.

Exempts persons from retroactive registration if the prior conviction was 30 or more years old, was not an aggravated offense, and the person has no other reportable convictions requiring registration.

Effective date: October 1, 2017.
