• Establishes the second week in November (beginning the second Sunday) as Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) Awareness Week in North Carolina each year.

• Named the Shannon Leigh Adcock and Steven Anthony Christos Memorial Act to honor individuals affected by SUDEP.

• Defines SUDEP as the sudden, unexpected death of a person with epilepsy who was otherwise considered healthy, affecting more than 1 out of 1,000 people with epilepsy annually.

• Coordinates SUDEP Awareness Week with National Epilepsy Awareness Month (November) to increase public awareness of the condition and its risks.

• Becomes effective upon enactment.
