Appropriates $250,000 in nonrecurring funds for fiscal year 2017-2018 and $250,000 in recurring funds for fiscal year 2018-2019 from the General Fund to the Department of Administration, Commission of Indian Affairs.

Funds shall be used to create five new full-time positions: two Paralegal I positions, one Administrative Officer I position, and two Genealogist/Research Specialist positions.

Staff will conduct historical research and analysis, perform genealogical analysis, prepare findings and conclusions, and submit results to the State recognition committee of the Commission of Indian Affairs.

Becomes effective July 1, 2017.
