Requires each local law enforcement agency to inventory untested Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kits (SAECKs) in their custody and report findings to the State Crime Laboratory by January 1, 2018.

Mandates inventory reports include the total number of untested SAECKs and categorize them by status: anonymous cases, resolved cases, cases where suspect admitted to the act, and cases determined to be unfounded.

Requires the Law Enforcement Support Services Office of the Department of Public Safety to inventory all SAECKs in its custody and report findings to the State Crime Laboratory by January 1, 2018.

Directs the State Crime Laboratory to compile all agency reports and submit findings to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by April 1, 2018.

Appropriates $699,484 in recurring annual funds for the 2017-2019 biennium to the State Crime Laboratory: $214,776 for forensic testing equipment and inventory tracking software, and $484,708 for DNA scientific supplies.
