Increases monthly pension benefits for eligible firefighters and rescue squad workers from $170 to $175 per month upon attaining age 55 after 20 years of service.

Increases monthly benefits to $175 for members totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty, effective July 1, 2017.

Increases monthly survivor benefits to $175 per month for spouses or principal beneficiaries of members killed in the line of duty, with phased effective dates (June 1, 2016 through July 1, 2018 depending on provision).

Members continue paying $10 per month contributions for up to 20 years; disabled members and line-of-duty death beneficiaries are not required to make these payments.

Section 1 provisions become effective July 1, 2017; Section 2 provisions become effective July 1, 2018.
