Appropriates $100,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Social Services for fiscal year 2017-2018.

Funds designated to support the Division's efforts to transform North Carolina's child welfare system and ensure safety, permanency, and well-being of vulnerable children.

Appropriation made in response to the State's failure of the federal Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) and supplementary findings from an independent review.

Becomes effective July 1, 2017.
