Department of Insurance shall adopt rules substantially similar to the most recent National Association of Insurance Commissioners model regulation on suitability in annuity transactions.

Rules adopted under this act are exempt from Part 3 of Article 2A of Chapter 150B of the General Statutes (notice and comment rulemaking requirements).

Part 4 of Article 60 of Chapter 58 of the General Statutes is repealed, effective upon the date the new rules become effective.

Codifier of Rules must notify the Revisor of Statutes of the effective date of the adopted rules.
