Expresses gratitude and appreciation from the North Carolina House of Representatives to all men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces for their selfless service.

Honors the memory of those who died in defense of the safety and liberty of the United States of America.

Notes that North Carolina is home to approximately 772,421 veterans, including 594,208 who served during times of war and 178,213 who served during times of peace.

Recognizes North Carolina's significant military presence, including six major Department of Defense/Department of Homeland Security installations and over 129,000 active-duty military personnel and reserve members.

Became effective upon adoption on April 26, 2017.
