Requires local directors of social services to collect information about military affiliation of parents, guardians, custodians, or caretakers during abuse, neglect, or dependency assessments.

Authorizes social services departments to share confidential assessment information with appropriate military authorities when the department determines the accused individual has military affiliation.

Mandates notification to the appropriate military authority within 48 hours when the director reports evidence of abuse or neglect to law enforcement and the district attorney.

Applies to all child abuse and neglect reports, including those involving alleged abuse by non-parental figures, when military affiliation is identified.

Becomes effective upon enactment into law.
