Appropriates $7,766,725 in recurring General Fund money to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2017-2018 fiscal year for cooperative innovative high schools.

Allocates funds to local school administrative units containing 13 cooperative innovative high schools approved to begin operation in the 2016-2017 school year, including Alamance-Burlington Early College, Chatham County School of Science and Engineering, and Wayne School of Engineering at Goldsboro High School.

Allocates funds to local school administrative units containing 12 cooperative innovative high schools approved to begin operation in the 2017-2018 school year, including Ashe County Early College High School, Charlotte Middle College at Merancas Campus, and Wake CTE High School North.

Requires the Department to allocate $310,669 per fiscal year to each local school administrative unit for each cooperative innovative high school located within its jurisdiction.

Effective July 1, 2017.
