Directs the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety to study the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission's current size and membership structure.

Requires the study to determine whether representation, efficiency, and productivity would improve by reducing the number of commission members and rebalancing stakeholder representation.

Mandates the committee submit a final report with findings and recommendations to the 2018 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

Report must be filed with the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
