Expands use of continuous alcohol monitoring (CAM) systems as a condition of probation for Level One and Level Two impaired driving convictions.

For Level One punishment, defendants may have suspended sentences if required to abstain from alcohol and use an approved CAM system for at least 60 days, or judges may reduce minimum imprisonment from 30 days to 10 days if CAM monitoring lasts at least 120 days.

For Level Two punishment, defendants may have suspended sentences either by abstaining with CAM for at least 60 days plus serving at least 7 days in jail, or by abstaining from alcohol for 90 consecutive days verified by CAM.

Increases pretrial CAM monitoring credit from 60 days to 90 days that can be applied toward probation requirements.

Becomes effective December 1, 2017, for offenses committed on or after that date.
