Allows courts to prohibit respondents from purchasing firearms for a fixed time period as part of civil no-contact orders (Chapter 50C).

Requires courts to order surrender of all firearms, ammunition, and concealed carry permits to the sheriff if the respondent used or threatened to use a deadly weapon, threatened to harm the complainant or minor child, threatened suicide, or caused serious injuries.

Establishes procedures for firearm surrender upon service of the order, with respondents having 24 hours to comply if weapons cannot be immediately surrendered, and allows the sheriff to charge reasonable storage fees.

Creates a process for respondents to request return of surrendered firearms after the civil no-contact order expires or 90 days after expiration, with the court determining eligibility based on state/federal law and pending criminal charges.

Makes it a Class H felony to possess, purchase, or receive a firearm while subject to a civil no-contact order prohibiting firearm possession, effective December 1, 2017.
