Requires all students in kindergarten through fifth grade to participate in at least three supervised one-hour physical education classes each school week to enhance physical fitness and promote exercise for mind and body development.

Requires the State Board of Education to mandate one one-credit course in physical education each year for students in sixth through twelfth grades.

Allows students from different grade levels to participate simultaneously in physical education classes if the school principal determines it is necessary and the classes are age-appropriate.

Assigns local boards of education the duty to ensure all students participate in physical education classes as prescribed by state requirements.

Effective beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.
