Establishes one Veterans Treatment Court program jointly serving the Fourth and Eighth Judicial Districts, limited to Wayne, Lenoir, Green, Duplin, Sampson, Jones, and Onslow counties.

Requires joint written application from prosecutor and defendant to participate, with court approval based on veteran status and satisfaction of probation, deferred prosecution, or conditional discharge requirements.

Court shall order participation in one or more services including mental health services, drug treatment with random testing, alcohol treatment, and other veteran-specific services.

Participants must attend at least one court session per month where the court reviews progress in treatment services and overall program participation.

Effective date October 1, 2017.
