Department of Public Safety shall conduct annual surveys of local, state, and federal VIPER system users to track satisfaction and feedback, with results reported to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety beginning November 1, 2019.

Department shall expand outreach to VIPER stakeholders through zone or regional meetings conducted by the State Highway Patrol with local law enforcement, fire chiefs, and emergency medical services representatives.

Department shall determine the value of all in-kind contributions (including cash, land, buildings, towers, and equipment) made by local government units, federal government, and nongovernmental entities supporting the VIPER system, with findings due to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by July 1, 2019.

Effective upon becoming law.
