Amends North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 99E by adding Article 8 to provide limited immunity from liability for COVID-19 transmission claims.

Persons cannot be held liable for COVID-19 transmission claims unless the act or omission amounts to gross negligence, willful or wanton conduct, or intentional wrongdoing.

Requires property owners to provide reasonable notice of actions taken to reduce COVID-19 transmission risk; property owners are not liable if individuals fail to comply with posted rules or guidelines.

Exemption applies only to premises owned by individuals when used in sole proprietorship operations; does not apply to workers' compensation claims before the Industrial Commission.

Immunity applies to claims arising no later than 180 days after expiration or rescission of Executive Order No. 116 issued March 10, 2020; effective July 2, 2020.
