North Carolina House of Representatives shall provide video access to daily legislative sessions via the internet, with the Information Systems Division responsible for procuring equipment, managing production, and archiving recordings on the General Assembly website.

University of North Carolina Center for Public Television shall broadcast selected House daily sessions deemed of particular public importance on television.

Creates a 9-member House Select Committee on Televising Legislative Sessions, appointed by the Speaker, to study the feasibility of establishing a new television channel for broadcasting all House legislative sessions.

Committee shall submit findings and recommendations to the 2019 General Assembly by April 20, 2020, and shall terminate upon submission of its report or on April 20, 2020, whichever occurs first.

The act becomes effective upon passage into law.
