Non-state entities receiving state funds must post the State Auditor's hotline telephone number conspicuously in their office, effective July 1, 2019.

State Auditor determines the response time (15 to 30 days) for auditees to submit written responses to economy and efficiency or program results audits, based on the number and complexity of findings.

Audit work papers and evidence may be shared with state and federal government representatives for criminal investigations and official matters, notwithstanding confidentiality provisions.

Production of documents to the State Auditor does not constitute a waiver of attorney-client privilege or attorney work-product privilege.

State Auditor may only adopt rules that are reasonably necessary for office operations, and local finance officers must maintain minimum qualifications established by the Local Government Commission.
