Exempts applicants for limited line credit insurance producer licenses from criminal background check requirements under North Carolina General Statute 58-33-48.

Adds limited line credit insurance producers to the list of insurance producer applicants not required to submit fingerprints or undergo State and Federal criminal history record checks.

Maintains criminal background check requirements for other insurance producer license types, including new applicants for standard producer licenses.

Became effective October 1, 2019, applying to all applications for new limited line credit insurance producer licenses or renewals received on or after that date.

Ratified June 27, 2019, and approved by Governor Roy Cooper on July 8, 2019.
