Appropriates $2,000,000 in nonrecurring General Fund money to The Maritime Heritage Foundation of Beaufort, North Carolina, Inc. for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.

Funds designated for completing a Master Plan for a new North Carolina Maritime Museum on a 31-acre site at Gallants Channel in Beaufort.

Master Plan includes site survey with wetlands assessment, zoning evaluation, historic and floodplain analysis, environmental assessment, economic impact study, museum site planning, parking design, and infrastructure planning for roads, utilities, and landscaping.

Funds shall be used to select an architect for preliminary museum designs and hire a project manager to oversee the advance planning process.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2019.
