Removes standard school calendar opening and closing date restrictions for Sampson County Schools and Wayne County Schools, allowing flexibility to align with Sampson Community College and Wayne Community College calendars.

Permits local school boards in these two counties to schedule school opening and closing dates to coincide with their respective community college fall and spring semesters.

Enables high school students enrolled in community college classes to align their schedules, supporting workforce development and skill-building for business and industry.

Applies only to Sampson County Schools and Wayne County Schools and is effective beginning with the 2019-2020 school year.
