Allows prescription drug products containing marijuana or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) to be prescribed, distributed, dispensed, administered, transferred, transported, possessed, and used in North Carolina if approved by the FDA under Section 505 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act

Adds new section § 90-94.2 to Chapter 90 of the North Carolina General Statutes creating an exemption for certain Schedule VI controlled substances

Requires that any such actions remain consistent with federal law

Effective upon enactment
