Clarifies that investigators may photograph juvenile suspects age 10 and older during show-up procedures without requiring a separate court order under G.S. 7B-2103.

Applies only when the juvenile is reported to have committed a nondivertible offense as defined in G.S. 7B-1701 or common law robbery.

Requires photographs to be retained or disposed of according to G.S. 7B-2108 procedures, with written certification to the court required only if a petition was filed.

Designates juvenile photographs as non-public records that must be kept separate from adult records and withheld from public inspection, except that juveniles, their attorneys, parents/guardians, prosecutors, and court counselors may examine them without a court order.

Became effective upon enactment on June 26, 2019.
