Establishes a special separation allowance for Alamance County detention officers equal to 0.85% of annual base compensation per year of creditable service, paid beginning upon retirement.

Requires detention officers to have at least 15 years of appointment as a detention officer and hold specific job titles (Officer through Captain ranks) to qualify.

Eligibility requires either 30+ years of creditable service, or 25+ years of service with age 60+, less than 62 years old at retirement, and 15 consecutive years of active service with Alamance County immediately preceding retirement.

Requires officers to be hired on or before June 30, 2022 and restricts the allowance to officers not already receiving a special separation allowance for law enforcement officers.

Payments cease upon officer death, attainment of age 62, or reemployment with any local government employer requiring participation in the Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System.
