Modifies liability for landowners regarding child trespassers by amending G.S. 38B-3 to create an exception for bodies of water on the owner's land.

Landowners are not subject to liability for injuries to child trespassers from natural bodies of water unless the owner created or improved the water feature to make it attractive to children, such as by creating a sandy swimming area.

Defines "body of water" to include pools, ponds, streams, creeks, rivers, lakes, reservoirs, wildlife habitats, irrigation sources, water supply reservoirs, and livestock watering places.

Maintains existing liability exceptions for intentional harms, artificial conditions other than natural water bodies, and cases where landowners discover trespassers in peril or helplessness.

Becomes effective October 1, 2019, and applies to injuries occurring on or after that date.
