Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles shall contract with a qualified vendor to assess the need for school bus driver training during summer months

Study shall determine whether additional funding or resource reallocation is needed for school bus driver trainers, particularly during summer months

Study shall review available funding for school bus driver training and estimate additional funds needed to keep training pace with school needs

$35,000 in nonrecurring Highway Fund appropriations allocated for fiscal year 2019-2020 to conduct the study

Division of Motor Vehicles must report findings and legislative recommendations by March 1, 2020 to House and Senate appropriations committees and Fiscal Research Division
