Department of Health and Human Services shall study the standards for obtaining assisted living program accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care to determine feasibility of issuing adult care home licenses based on accreditation

Department shall identify which inspections and rules would be impacted if accreditation is used in the licensure process

Department shall evaluate application of the Star Rating Program to the potentially revised licensing process

Department shall report findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislative changes to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services on or before March 1, 2020

Act becomes effective upon enactment
