Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health must study and report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services by April 1, 2020 on ways to improve public health outcomes.

Study must address reducing the number of fatal injuries and deaths from unintentional injuries.

Study must address reducing emergency department visits for nonfatal unintentional injuries and investigating ways to reduce injuries and deaths involving firearms.

Study must address promoting safe and healthy environments and increasing environmental health in homes, schools, and communities.

Act becomes effective upon enactment into law.
