Expands exemption from private protective services licensing for business employees whose primary duty involves loss prevention or conducting internal investigations, effective October 1, 2019.

Clarifies that loss prevention employees can investigate matters related to location, disposition, or recovery of lost or stolen property reasonably believed to be owned by the business.

Eliminates requirement that all acts constituting "obtaining property by false pretenses" (G.S. 14-100) must occur within North Carolina or within a single city, county, or local jurisdiction, effective December 1, 2019.

Establishes that it is not a defense to false pretenses charges that not all criminal acts occurred in the state or within a single jurisdiction, applicable to offenses committed on or after December 1, 2019.
