Courts may impose job search or work-specific education training as a special condition of contempt orders for child support delinquency as an alternative to incarceration.

If a court selects the work training option, it must review the person's progress at minimum 30-day intervals, unless the person is enrolled and actively participating in work-specific training.

Child support payment orders that have been appealed to the appellate division remain enforceable in trial court through civil contempt proceedings during the appeal pendency.

The appellate division may stay any civil contempt order for child support upon motion of an aggrieved party if justice requires.

The act becomes effective upon passage into law.
