Adds "source of income" as a protected class under North Carolina's State Fair Housing Act, making discrimination based on income source unlawful in real estate transactions.

Defines "source of income" to include lawful income from any profession or occupation, and income or rental payments from government or private assistance, grant, or loan programs.

Expands prohibited discriminatory housing practices to include refusing to engage in real estate transactions, discriminating in terms and conditions, and making unavailable housing based on source of income.

Applies protections to residential real estate related transactions including loan making, purchasing, and provision of financial assistance for dwellings, as well as selling, brokering, and appraising of residential real estate.

Becomes effective December 1, 2019, and applies to all real estate transactions entered into on or after that date.
