Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice shall work with law enforcement, district attorneys, and courts to develop a process identifying and resolving outstanding warrants for inmates, with the Administrative Office of the Courts providing quarterly reports on pending misdemeanors and infractions for individuals serving sentences of six months or longer, effective December 1, 2019.

Persons released from Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice custody within six months preceding application are waived fees for driver's licenses (Classes A, B, and C), learner's permits, duplicate licenses, special identification cards, and birth certificates.

Fee waivers apply to applications for driver's licenses and learner's permits through the Division of Motor Vehicles, duplicate licenses through the Division of Motor Vehicles, special identification cards, and birth certificates through the State Registrar or register of deeds.

Fee waiver provisions become effective October 1, 2019, and apply to applications received on or after that date.

Individuals seeking fee waivers must present proof of release from custody within the six-month period preceding their application.
