Division of Motor Vehicles may conditionally restore a driver's license revoked for impaired driving after at least one year if the person graduates from a Drug Treatment or DWI Treatment Court Program established under Article 62 of Chapter 7A of the General Statutes.

Person seeking license restoration must provide the Division with a graduation certificate from the treatment court program and a letter of recommendation from the presiding judge.

Applicant must pay a $25.00 fee in addition to any other applicable fees, with the fee deposited in the Highway Fund.

Conditional license restoration includes mandatory ignition interlock system requirements for all registered vehicles owned by the person, set to prohibit driving with any alcohol concentration above 0.00, for the duration of the original revocation period.

The act becomes effective December 1, 2019.
