• School psychologists certified by the State Board of Education and employed by public school units are exempt from North Carolina Psychology Board licensure requirements while performing school duties.

• For the 2020-2021 school year, public schools must adopt calendars with 190 instructional days, including 185 days of in-person instruction or 1,025 hours plus five remote instruction days that may be scheduled at the school unit's discretion.

• Coronavirus Relief Fund money totaling $75,000,000 designated for school nutrition services may be used for the Summer Food Service Program and extended through December 30, 2020.

• Superintendent of Public Instruction is designated as an applicable elected representative authorized to approve private activity bonds to finance or refinance charter school facilities.

• Nonpublic schools are granted immunity from claims related to COVID-19 closures during the 2019-2020 academic year if they offered remote learning options and acted reasonably to protect public health and safety.
