Appropriates $2,500,000 from the General Fund for the 2019-2020 fiscal year to the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of State Historic Sites for renovation and expansion of the Power House facility at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.

Appropriates an additional $2,000,000 for the 2020-2021 fiscal year for the same renovation and expansion project.

The Power House is the second-oldest structure at the museum and previously provided electricity to Southern Railway's largest repair facility and the Town of Spencer.

Renovation will allow the museum to relocate outdoor programming space for shows, concerts, and festivals to a larger, safer area and create rental space for additional revenue generation.

The bill becomes effective July 1, 2019.
