Expands the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy from seven to eight members by adding one establishment owner position.

The new eighth member must be currently licensed to operate a massage and bodywork therapy establishment, appointed by the Governor.

If the Board has not begun issuing establishment licenses at the time of appointment, the appointee may be a current owner of a massage and bodywork therapy establishment instead.

The initial term for the establishment owner member begins July 1, 2019, and expires June 30, 2022.

The act became effective upon approval by the Governor on July 11, 2019.
