Establishes a Joint Legislative Task Force on Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Student Athletes consisting of 7 members: two Senate members, two House members, the Secretary of Health and Human Services or designee, the Superintendent of Public Instruction or designee, and an American Heart Association representative.

Task Force shall study the frequency of sudden cardiac arrest in student athletes, strategies implemented in other jurisdictions such as mandatory heart exams, costs of testing student athletes for heart conditions, and any other relevant issues.

Task Force meetings must begin no later than October 1, 2019, with a quorum constituting a majority of members and decisions made by majority vote.

Task Force shall submit a final report to the General Assembly by April 1, 2020, including proposed legislation, and shall terminate on April 1, 2020, or upon filing the report, whichever comes first.

Legislative Services Officer shall assign professional and clerical staff to assist the Task Force, with members receiving per diem, subsistence, and travel allowance as provided by law.
