Senate Bill 341 Summary

• Prohibits local governments and law enforcement from accepting matricula consular documents or locally-issued identity documents (except where expressly authorized by General Assembly) for identification purposes.

• Creates enforcement mechanism allowing any person to file complaints with the Attorney General about local government non-compliance with state immigration laws, triggering investigation and potential 12-month periods of ineligibility for state funding distributions.
