Exempts persons applying for a limited line credit insurance producer license from criminal background check requirements under North Carolina General Statute 58-33-48.

Maintains criminal background check requirements for applicants seeking initial insurance producer licenses, but removes the requirement for limited line credit insurance producers.

Adds limited line credit insurance producers to the list of exemptions that already includes persons applying for renewal or continuation of home state and nonresident insurance producer licenses.

Takes effect October 1, 2019, and applies to all new limited line credit insurance producer license applications and renewals received on or after that date.
