Expands the purpose of the State Fire Protection Grant Fund to include compensation for local fire protection on State lands, in addition to State-owned buildings and their contents

Establishes annual funding allocations: $4,180,000 from the General Fund, $158,000 from the Highway Fund, and $1,345,000 from University of North Carolina receipts

Restricts each funding source to fire protection services for State property supported by that same fund source

Allocates up to $100,000 annually from General Fund for compensating local fire departments responding to emergency calls on State lands not related to building fire protection

Becomes effective upon enactment
