Department of Public Safety, Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice, shall provide personal protective equipment to inmates working in state prisons or for Correction Enterprises during the COVID-19 state of emergency.

Division shall provide PPE to all other inmates in state prisons to the extent possible during the emergency period.

Department must report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by October 1, 2020, on PPE distribution during the COVID-19 emergency (covering March 10, 2020 through report submission date).

$100,000 in nonrecurring funds appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2020-2021 to cover personal protective equipment and inmate medical costs caused by COVID-19.

Provisions expire on the earlier of when the Governor rescinds Executive Order No. 116 or March 1, 2021.
