Requires automatic expunction of criminal records when charges are dismissed, with the prosecutor or judicial officer providing notice to the court instead of requiring the defendant to petition.

Applies automatic expunction to cases resulting in not guilty or not responsible findings, with the court automatically ordering expunction without requiring a petition.

Extends automatic expunction to multiple dismissed charges and multiple not guilty findings, with each charge expunged by court order.

Mandates automatic expunction of DNA records and samples from the State DNA Database and State DNA Databank when a case is dismissed.

Becomes effective December 1, 2019, for dismissals ordered and findings entered on or after that date.
