Administrative Office of the Courts shall identify minor traffic offenses that clerks of superior court may preside over, in consultation with the North Carolina Conference of Clerks of Superior Court

Grant clerks of superior court authority to conduct both in-person and remote hearings for the identified traffic offenses

Provide software, laptops, and other technological resources to clerks of superior court necessary for presiding over remote proceedings while ensuring validity and integrity

Appropriate $50,000 in nonrecurring funds from the General Fund to the Administrative Office of the Courts for the 2020-2021 fiscal year to implement the act

Becomes effective July 1, 2020, and expires March 1, 2021
