Jimmy Dean Clark of Guilford County is elected to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina to fill the vacancy created by Thomas Fetzer's resignation effective May 20, 2020.

Clark's term commences upon the effective date of this resolution and ends June 30, 2021.

The Senate Select Committee on Nominations confirmed that Clark has no disqualifying statutory disabilities.

This election is authorized under G.S. 116-7(c), which requires the chamber that originally elected a vacating member to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term.
