Allows the governing bodies of cities and towns to adopt ordinances authorizing electronic notice for public hearings and other required notices, including via the town's Internet site.

Permits electronic notice to replace traditional publication methods for notices.

Preserves existing State law requirements for mail notice to certain classes of people and posting of signs on certain property.

Does not alter publication schedules for public notices.

Applies only to the Towns of Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Knightdale, Wake Forest, and Wendell.
