Clarifies that subsequent court orders related to child custody, child support, spousal support, and property possession issued under Chapter 50 or Chapter 110 of the General Statutes supersede similar provisions in domestic violence protective orders issued under Chapter 50B.

Maintains that domestic violence protective order remedies remain additional to remedies available under Chapter 50 and other sections of the General Statutes.

Becomes effective December 1, 2021, and applies to all orders in effect on or after that date.

Implements a recommendation from the North Carolina Courts Commission regarding the hierarchy of court orders in domestic violence cases.
