Direct the Legislative Research Commission (LRC) to study increasing housing options for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)

LRC study must consider housing transition plans for adults moving from institutions, group homes, and family living situations to independent living

LRC must incorporate input from the Department of Health and Human Services, its Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services, and the NC Housing Finance Agency

LRC must examine best practices from other states and ways to utilize the Transitions to Community Living Initiative (TCLI) to address housing needs for individuals with IDD

Appropriate $200,000 in nonrecurring funds from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services for the Transitions to Community Living Initiative, effective July 1, 2022, with LRC to report findings and recommendations to the 2023 General Assembly
